Is this yarn too chunky? Is the colour wrong? Should I have gone down a needle size? Am I just being fickle?

I think it looks good. What is it that you don't like about it? Maybe if it's knitting up too wide you could take out a pattern repeat or something?

Donna might have the right idea about removing a pattern repeat. Of course mine is sitting in time-out while I try to find my scarf-knitting mojo again.

Looks lovely to me. Although I'm biased - that colour (I'd call it Cadbury purple) is one of my favourite funky colours.
I'm determined not to frog my ISE5 scarf (at least until tomorrow ;-)

I like it a lot - the pattern particularly. Not sure if I would wear the colour though. Very wide scarf pattern, isn't it? But very pretty.
